Obviously, this is a serious safety concern, but luckily only 118 vehicles are affected including the 2019 Honda Insight, Odyssey and Ridgeline.

Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by mail in late November arranging a visit with their local dealer to have the SRS unit replaced free of charge.

In a separate recall, 54 model-year 2017-18 Civic hatchbacks and CR-V SUVs have been affected by incorrectly manufactured torque sensors in the gearboxes that could provide incorrect steering-torque information if the steering wheel is turned all the way in one direction. Consequently, this could cause the electronic power steering to steer more vigorously than intended, increasing the risk of a crash. Honda will notify owners in early November and dealers will replace the electronic power steering gearbox for free. Luckily, the automaker is not aware of any crashes or injuries related to either issue.
