Time to act. Fast.
Earlier this month, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announced itsDrive Forwardsales initiative that allows customers to take advantage of 0 percent interest financing for an incredible 84 months plus zero payments for 90 days. However, there was a catch certain customers found annoying: the2019 Ram 2500一个ndRam 3500 HDpickup trucks were not eligible. Well, it appears there's been a change of plans.
Cars Direct has managed to get a hold of some bulletins recently sent to dealerships authorizing the inclusion of those HD trucks, though for now only the 2019 models are permitted. In short, this could be the best time ever to buy either of these trucks.
Ram's HD trucks were previously offered with 5.9 percent APR for 72 months, so the fresh savings are pretty substantial. In some cases, buyers will now save over $230 per month. But what about Ram's crosstown rivals? Are Ford and Chevy offering the same or similar 0 percent interest financing? The answer is 'no.' The best deal the Blue Oval currently has is 7.9 percent APR for 84 months on theFord F-250一个nd F-350 Super Duty.
Over at Chevy, however, the 2019 Silverado HD is, in fact, being offered with 0 percent interest for 84 months as well, but there's a problem with that: inventory. National inventory listings indicate these trucks are mostly sold out. The 2020 Silverado HD currently has a $3,500 cashback offer instead. Those interested in taking up Ram's latest offer should be aware that it can't be combined with any other incentives. And yes, national inventory levels indicate there are still plenty of 2019 Ram HDs in stock.
Also, this offer is set to expire on April 30, though it's certainly possible this could be extended, given the circumstances. But the big question is whether or not Ford and/or Chevy will meet or beat Ram's new offer.
Chevy doesn't have enough 2019 model year HD trucks in stock, but it could make the 2020 eligible instead. Ford will have to determine whether it too has sufficient 2019 model year inventory.
