Twin-Turbo Lamborghini Huracan Performante Packs 900 HP

It's no secret Lamborghini is cooking up a new hardcore limited edition track toy. It's called theLamborghini Squadra Corse V12, and according to a recent teaser, it will pack a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 that will give you 830 horsepower to play with on the track. But Chicago-based tuner AMS Performance has already built an even more hardcore Lamborghini. It may not be naturally aspirated, but it's definitely a track monster nonetheless.

While the Italian automaker is renowned for its sublime naturally-aspirated V12, AMS Performance has fitted a pair of turbochargers to aLamborghini Huracan Performanteto increase the power output. As standard, the regular Huracan Performante's V10 unit produces an impressive 630 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, which is more than enough power for most sane people.

By adding forced induction, AMS Performance has managed to extract a whopping 900 horsepower from Lamborghini's V10 when running on 93 octane pump gas. To achieve this, AMS Performance installed a pair of Garrett turbochargers, two intercoolers, motorsports-grade heat exchangers, and tweaked the ECU and transmission.

Unsurprisingly, the performance is insane. The 0-62 mph time hasn't been revealed, but AMS Performance claims the tuned Lamborghini Huracan Performante will accelerate from 60-100 mph in just 2.19 seconds and 60-130 mph in a blistering 4.69 seconds.
