Old meets new.

While theFord Broncois a rather impressive little off-roader, we always want more. More power, more capability, and more of that cool factor that makes people stop and stare. Soon, there will be aRaptor versionof the Bronco, and that should satisfy many enthusiasts for a while, but what if you either don't like the look of the new Bronco, think the Raptor version won't be quick enough, or simply can't wait for theBronco Raptorto arrive? Sweet Brothers Restomods in Wyoming has the answer, and it's dripping in that evasive cool factor in ways that the modern version simply won't be able to compete with.

What you're looking at is a 2011Ford F-150 Raptorwith the body of a 1979 Ford Bronco draped over it. The engine, the running gear, the interior, the infotainment system - pretty much everything besides the body comes from the aforementioned Raptor and the mix of old and new seems like a match made in heaven. But rather than just a simple body swap, this special creation has a number of custom touches to make it even more special. For a start, each door has been stretched four inches and the B-pillar between each set of doors is from a 1979 crew cab. As a result, rear legroom is vastly improved, but there's more to get excited about under the hood.

With some Roush supercharged loving being applied to the Bronco/Raptor hybrid, this truck is now capable of 540 horsepower and reportedly matches the new Raptor's towing capacity. There's been a lot of time spent thinking about how to build this thing properly, and that is especially clear in the fact that this restomod has the same wheelbase as the Raptor, as well as the same towing and hauling capacities. Sweet Brothers is now looking to start selling its builds like this one, but as for the price, nothing concrete has been mentioned just yet. We don't expect it to be cheap, but classic looks with modern technology should make for a good investment.
