It's being described as the world's most luxurious travel trailer, and we don't doubt it.

Back in 1934, Aerospace legend Hawley Bowlus created the first riveted aluminum trailer: the Bowlus Road Chief. The company produced around 80 travel trailers before ending production in 1937. Over half of the original trailers are still around today. A few years ago, the brand made a comeback as Bowlus Road Chief with the aluminum-clad 'On The Road' model. Now, it's introducing the high-tech Endless Highways, which is being touted as theworld's most luxurious travel trailer. Looking at the photos, it's hard to disagree.

Bowlus Road Chief was the first company to integrate a lithium-iron-phosphate battery system into a travel trailer, and the Endless Highways model "sets a new standard for off-grid functionality". Its power-management system uses 4kWh lithium-iron-phosphate batteries, allowing full operation of appliances using only battery power for up to a week between recharges. The batteries can also run the Endless Highways' 10,000 BTU air-conditioner for up to four hours on a single charge.

An optional 120-watt solar panel further extends power capacity. Also new for the Bowlus Road Chief is a Bluetooth-monitorable power management system. The system also includes a 2,000-watt pure sine-wave inverter with the ability to boost 120-volt AC power from 15 to 30 amps. The trailer also has an 3G/4G modem and GPS that provides a private WiFi network.

On the outside, the Endless Highways features the company's signature aluminum frame and aircraft-riveted shell. Weighing only 3,300 pounds, the aerodynamic trailer can easily be towed behind crossover SUVs andelectric SUVs such as the Tesla Model X.

Inside, there's room for four adventurers to comfortably eat and sleep. Convenience features include a high-efficiency 12-volt fridge/freezer, a microwave that can run on battery power, a two-burner Italian cooktop integrated into the stainless-steel countertop, and a hotel-style en-suite bathroom with a stand-alone shower, stainless-steel sink, a full-length mirror, a vanity with medicine cabinet, continuous hot water, and large wardrobes.

The walls and ceilings are made of real wood, while a hydronic heating system additionally provides in-floor heating. Two meticulously crafted interior themes are offered, as well as upgrades inspired by the American Southwest. Alternatively, customers can work with Bowlus Road Chief to craft personalized themes. Pricing for the Endless Highways starts at $185,000, with financing available for as low as $942 per month. That's nearly as much as aluxury Bentley Bentayga SUV. Off-the-grid luxury living was never going to be cheap.
