This Luxury Camper Trailer Costs Nearly As Much As A Bentley Bentayga

Back in 1934, Aerospace legend Hawley Bowlus created the first riveted aluminum trailer: the Bowlus Road Chief. The company produced around 80 travel trailers before ending production in 1937. Over half of the original trailers are still around today. A few years ago, the brand made a comeback as Bowlus Road Chief with the aluminum-clad 'On The Road' model. Now, it's introducing the high-tech Endless Highways, which is being touted as theworld's most luxurious travel trailer. Looking at the photos, it's hard to disagree.

Bowlus Road Chief was the first company to integrate a lithium-iron-phosphate battery system into a travel trailer, and the Endless Highways model "sets a new standard for off-grid functionality". Its power-management system uses 4kWh lithium-iron-phosphate batteries, allowing full operation of appliances using only battery power for up to a week between recharges. The batteries can also run the Endless Highways' 10,000 BTU air-conditioner for up to four hours on a single charge.

An optional 120-watt solar panel further extends power capacity. Also new for the Bowlus Road Chief is a Bluetooth-monitorable power management system. The system also includes a 2,000-watt pure sine-wave inverter with the ability to boost 120-volt AC power from 15 to 30 amps. The trailer also has an 3G/4G modem and GPS that provides a private WiFi network.

On the outside, the Endless Highways features the company's signature aluminum frame and aircraft-riveted shell. Weighing only 3,300 pounds, the aerodynamic trailer can easily be towed behind crossover SUVs andelectric SUVs such as the Tesla Model X.
