Photos shared on social media show the new Batmobile from a variety of angles, showing off its wide fenders, imposing bumper battering ram, and vented hood that glows red. We can also see the Batmobile's side exhausts and side steps that weren't visible in the trailer.

Sadly, there are no photos of the rear, which is a shame because we were hoping to get a clearer look at the exposed rear-mounted engine. Trailers have also shown the new Batmobile will have a jet propulsion system shooting flames in homage to the Batmobiles that came before, most memorably the one Michael Keaton drove in Tim Burton's 1989 take.

The front appears to be inspired by a 1960sChevrolet Camaro, while the rest of the design appears to incorporate elements from the Ford Mustang and Dodge Charger. Clearly, Robert Pattinson's version of Batman has a penchant for retro American muscle cars. From the footage we've seen so far, the Batmobile will see plenty of action in the film. The trailer showed it jumping through fire and ramming Penguin's car in a tense chase scene, causing it to flip over.

We suspect the design will divide opinions, but we think the new Batmobile looks badass. We can't wait to see it in action on the big screen whenThe Batmanopens in theaters on March 4, 2022.
