Power is sourced from the G-Wagon's original 2.5-liter 5-cylinder diesel engine with new front and rear crankshaft seals, new cylinder head bolts, and a new cylinder head gasket, paired with a four-speed manual transmission with new seals and a new clutch.

Expedition Motor Company has also fitted a snorkel to help it breathe easier. After stripping the off-roader to its bare components, the company fits modern LED headlights, custom taillights and grille guards, but the cosmetic modifications are subtle to preserve the original off-roader's rugged styling.
