This Custom-Designed BMW 745Le Is Unlike Anything Else

Some BMW customers want their vehicles to be entirely unique and the German automaker is more than happy to oblige. TheBMW Individual programenables those customers to select from a wide range of unique interior build materials and colors. Assuming one's bank account is healthy enough, just about anything is possible. Those wealthy clients, however, can also be boutique luxury hotels.

ThisBMW 745Le xDrivewas ordered from the automaker to serve as anew chauffeur vehiclefor the Ellerman House boutique hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. In order to show off some local talent, South African artist and botanical sculptor Nic Bladen was hired to collaborate. The interior was the main area of focus and Bladen is known for his plants cast in precious metals, specifically liquid gold, silver, or platinum.

He creates highly detailed sculptures of local flowers and plants, and for this unique project, he was tasked with creating a special process of transferring the replicas of those plants cast in metal into a two-dimensional form that had to be as flat as possible. The result is the interior trim strips in the door panels and dashboard. That interior is also covered in Merino full leather upholstery.

Rear seat occupants get to enjoy electronically adjustable and heated seats with massage function, active seat ventilation, electronically operated sun blinds, the Sky Lounge panorama glass roof, and Ambient lighting. The "EH" initials are embroidered on the seat cushions as well.
