This 720-HP Ford Mustang Terminator Cobra Sounds Incredible

That doesn't sound as impressive as it did back in 2003, so one owner decided to give the Terminator the power it deserves.

As shown in a new video, the owner, Alex, removed the engine and added forged internals and a 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger. Combined with a return-style fuel system and aeromotive fuel pumps, the V8's output has increased from 390 hp to around 720 wheel hp and 800 crank hp, making it nearly as powerful as the GT500. The brakes were left stock, but the brake discs were upgraded. To transfer all that power to the tarmac, wide 315 Toyo rear tires were fitted, though Alex admits he still experiences a lot of wheelspin.

A custom exhaust system makes the supercharged powerplant sound suitably menacing. To complement the massive performance upgrade, the custom Mustang Terminator has been fitted with some exterior enhancements including a custom hood, a new bumper with larger vents, and new wheels.

The visual modifications are surprisingly subtle, enhancing the exterior without going too over the top. Carbon fiber trim adorns the cabin, which is also fitted with Sparco seats, a Sparco steering wheel and a harness. Alex even added custom gauges and grommet rings to the seats for a retro look. Out on the road, the tuned Terminator Cobra sounds awe-inspiring while burning rubber - you would definitely hear this beast coming from a mile away.
