The Hellephant Returns As Dodge Unveils New Performance Parts Catalog

Get ready to mod your Challenger.

Dodge is finally starting the rollout of its new factory-backed Direct Connection performance parts, just a little too late for the festive season. Dodge first revealed thisunique part of the businessin early November.

This new exclusive line-up consists of performance "Tuner" and "Stage" kits for theDodge Challengerand race-ready kits for theDodge Challenger Mopar Drag Pak.

The entire Direct Connection parts catalog is now live on Dodge's website, and there's a number you can phone to get direct access to performance experts. Ordering will only be available late in the first quarter of 2022, but that gives you enough time to browse through all of the available goodies.

There are way too many parts to mention, so we'll focus on the best bits. The big news is that the 1,000 hp/950 lb-ftHellphant crate engineis returning in the second quarter of 2022. The initial run sold out in two days, so hopefully, Dodge will make more this time. Four other crate engines are available, ranging from 383 hp to 807 hp.

Parts for the Dodge Challenger Mopar Drag Pak include an NHRA Factory Stock approved engine, racing seats, Drag Pak lightweight wheels, Mickey Thompson ET front tires and Pro Drag Radials, graphics, a Holley EFI Digital Dash, and Holley Dominator EFI Vehicle Management System to name just a few.

There are a total of 14 kits for the Challenger. These parts include new cylinder heads to increase the redline for Hellcat models, zero camber rear knuckles, high-flow airbox, and various other cooling bits.

The best bits are the stage kits for the SRT Hellcat Redeye and SRT Hellcat. The options for the Redeye include a pre-stage kit, Stage 1 kit, and a Stage II kit. The latter consists of a 3.17-inch Hellephant engine pulley and key code to unlock 885 horsepower and 787 lb-ft of torque. The Stage 1 kit for the SRT Hellcat does the same and increases power to 757 hp and 696 lb-ft.

Direct Connection also ties in with Dodge's new Power Brokers dealer network, a selection of dealers with staff trained in high-performance parts installation. If you choose to have your parts installed by a Power Broker, you get a three-year/36,000 warranty and a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty from the original installation date.
