Having revealed the next-gen WRX STIin Detroit this week, Subaru has knocked together a quick in-depth video presented by one of its national managers. Performance figures were not forthcoming at the Motor City, but the car's walk-around host let slip the 2015 WRX STI will be able to hit 164 mph, which is a 3 mph bump over the outgoing model.

Scoobie engineers kept the previous STI's 2.5-liter turbo-four, massaging it to 305 hp and 290 lb-ft of torque, added Brembo brakes, a short-throw six-speed manual and 18-inch BBS alloys. It also comes with Subaru's Symmetrical AWD system with Driver-Controlled Center Differential.
