This just may well be the first S650-generation Mustang on Copart.

Ford juststarted the deliveryof the S650-generation Mustang, but one already found its demise. This 2024Ford MustangGT is up for auction onCopart, and given the apparent damages on the left side body, its future owner will likely fetch it at a low price.

For reference, the pre-accident value of this model is said to be $59,089. This just may be the first S650 Mustang posted on Copart, which is quite a shame, knowing this model is not even out for half a year yet. But the silver lining to this incident is owner Sam Brown got out safe, albeit his legs were "beat to hell."

The accident story was posted on an S650 Facebook Group, where Brown said a Dodge Hellcat - doing the 'walk challenge' at 2:00 a.m. - hit his Mustang at an intersection. The owner shared that he was all taken care of thanks to his "dealership (AutoNation East), insurance company, and the Cleveland Police."

Brown also assured the engine and transmission are fine, besides the wrecked body panels from the collision.

As a GT-badged model, the pony car has a 5.0-literCoyote V8that makes 486 horsepower and 418 lb-ft of torque. Brown opted for the 10-speed automatic transmission instead of thesix-speed Tremec manual. Like all Mustangs, the power has always been sent exclusively to the rear wheels.

Brown decided to order a replacement rather than fixing his wrecked car. That can be costly, but at least this saves him time and effort to get back on the road with a Mustang.

The unit is in Cleveland East, Ohio, with the auction date yet to be disclosed. But hopefully, whoever gets to pick it up restores the Mustang to its former glory instead of salvaging the car and selling parts off it. After all, the car is almost new, considering it only clocked 735 miles on the odometer.
