Ringbrothers Reveals 1948 Chevrolet Super Truck Called Enyo

This 1,000-hp build took some 10,000 hours to produce.

This year's SEMA show is shaping up to be one for the books, with the participating manufacturers and tuners bringing their A-game once again. Dodge and Toyota have brought loads of new builds, andFord has revealed 10 aftermarket concepts, but once again, it's thetuners that are breaking the internet. We've already seen a fewimpressive creations, but the latest build from Ringbrothers has to be one of the wildest of this year's event.

What you're looking at has been dubbed "Enyo," and it's a 1948 Chevrolet Super Truck, essentially a mix of race car and truck. With over 10,000 build hours, this 1,000-horsepower beast is like nothing else.

"Ringbrothers is in new territory with four vehicle debuts at this year's SEMA show," said Ringbrothers co-owner Mike Ring. "But we are especially excited to share Enyo with the world as our most outrageous build yet. This long-term project really showcases our ability to explore new means of design, engineering and performance within an entirely new realm of challenges and production with our partners. The outcome speaks for itself."

Ringbrothers解释说,需要多年的planning and looking for the right customer to commission the build, but the dream of creating an "anti-street-rod" has finally been achieved with this chopped, channeled, and sectioned 1948 pickup that boasts a 510 cubic inch tall-deck engine built by Todd Goodwin.

The motor boasts Kinsler eight-stack injection, a Holley fuel management system, and a Bowler PerformanceCorvettetorque-tube 4L80 automatic transaxle. Helping put the power down is a cantilever-independent suspension on each corner with Ohlins shock absorbers. Custom Porsche 911 pin-drive wheels from HRE are featured along with track and street wheels built for the car too. A Nuke Performance air jack system makes swapping sets easy, while Brembo GTS M6 brakes with six-piston calipers maximize security on all surfaces.

The body is just as impressive, with the original steel cab narrowed and chopped by four inches, as well as lengthened and wedge cut. The remaining body pieces are presented in 3K-weave carbon fiber with a single-piece carbon fiber belly pan running from front to back.

Power windows, a custom stainless-steel gas tank by Rich's Tanks, a Vintage Air Gen II compact air-conditioning system, and a custom interior built in collaboration with Upholstery Limited and Gemini Technology Systems add more class to the build. No aspect of the build has seen skimping or corner cutting, and the clamshell hood even boasts electromagnetic latches. The side pipes are made from 58 feet of titanium pie-cut welds, with these fed by one-off custom headers.

While it's a pity thatGeneral Motors chose not to exhibitat this year's show, companies like Ringbrothers are keeping the American tuning flag flying high.
