Retro Nissan Frontier Hardbody Edition Headlines 2024 Truck Lineup

2024 Nissan Frontierpricing was just revealed, and the big news is the addition of a Hardbody Edition special edition that pays homage to the original Nissan Hardbody pickup truck from the 1980s. Nissanhinted that it would make a special editionlike this at last year's Chicago Auto Show and now it's come to fruition.

As with last year's model, the Frontier comes in King Cab and Crew Cab body styles with various trim levels, some of which are only available with the latter configuration. The new Hardbody Edition, for example, is based on the mid-level SV Crew Cab 4x4 model. This package adds heritage-styled 17-inch wheels, retro decals, all-terrain tires, a sport bar, black exterior trim, black side rails, an aluminum skidplate, and other details at a cost of $3,890. The tailgate also sports a new graphic with a cutout Nissan logo instead of the traditional one.

"We took some of those design elements and modernized them. Even if you don't recognize or remember the original Hardbody, you're still going to say, 'That's a cool truck,'" said Hiren Patel, project lead designer, Nissan Design America, a division of Nissan North America, Inc.

The SV Crew Cab 4x4 used as a base for the special edition costs $36,870 with a five-foot bed or $39,700 with a six-foot one.

至于其余的范围,cheapest Frontier S King Cab 4x2 starts at $29,770 ($32,970 with 4x4), well below the incoming Ford Ranger but just above the cheapest Chevrolet Colorado. Toyota has not released pricing for the 2024 Tacoma, but it should be pretty close to the Frontier. Stepping up to the SV King Cab brings the price to $32,470 ($35,670 with 4x4).

If you want the larger and more spacious Frontier S Crew Cab 4x2, it starts at $31,070 ($34,070). The off-road-focused PRO-X Crew Cab 4x2 returns for $36,300, while the PRO-4X Crew Cab 4x4 costs $39,300. Pricing tops out at $42,640 for the newly-added SL Crew Cab 4x4. This trim comes highly equipped with LED lights, leather seats, a Fender 10-speaker audio system, and more. This replaces the old SV Premium Package.
