Reborn Lamborghini Countach Teased Again With Retro Styling

Lamborghini got everyone's attention this week when it announced theCountach is making a surprise comebackto celebrate the legendarysupercar's 50th anniversary. In the first teaser image, Lamborghini previewed the car's wedge-shaped profile. Ahead of its debut, Lamborghini has given us a glimpse of the reborn Countach's nose, which features a prominent splitter and Countach lettering on the grille.

We also get a look at the redesigned intakes inspired by the original Countach while another image shows the engine bay, confirming that the new Countach will be powered by a V12.

It isn't clear if it will be an all-new model, but we're expecting the new Countach to be a special edition model based on theAventador. Unlike the Aventador-basedMiura Homageunveiled in 2016 to celebrate the Miura's 50th anniversary, which was merely an Aventador in a special color scheme, this tribute appears to have reworked bodywork entirely, in much the same vein as models like the Centenario and the西安.

Lamborghini hasn't shared any technical details about the Countach's V12 powerplant, but if the previously leaked powertrain designation of LPI 800-4 is to be believed, it will share a similar hybrid setup to the Sian, which is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system generating 819 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque.
