Porsche Once Built The Ultimate Off-Road Camper

And it's looking for a new owner.

Auction siteBring A Trailerhas often been home to some long-lost gems of the automotive world, cars that you don't see popping up for sale very often. One such rarity is this 2006保时捷制动性, a car that was modified by Porsche of Monterey to be the ultimateluxury off-roader. Sure, the Cayenne Turbo can be made into asupercar-rivaling SUV, but we think that turning it into the kind of vehicle that its proportions suggest it is might be even cooler. This example is one of the best conversions, having been modified as part of the Porsche Classic Partner program and revealed in collaboration with the Petersen Museum, and it's now up for grabs.

It's been given a PRG two-inch lift kit, Braid 18-inch wheels with oversized all-terrain tires, a roof rack with a Tepui HyBox tent, a skid plate, additional lights from Hella, a tow hitch, a spare tire carrier, and some satin black exterior trim accents. It's got 115,000 miles on the clock, but don't worry about it falling apart. The dealer removed and resealed the engine in June of last year, at which time the front brake calipers and rotors, front upper control arms, and belt tensioner were all replaced too. But just look at that paint! The Marine Blue Metallic exterior pops beautifully and is well complemented by a black and gray interior finished in full leather.

It was quite desirable in stock form before being modified too, boasting carbon fiber interior trims, an Alcantara headliner, heated seats, a Bose sound system, navigation, and dual-zone automatic climate control. A sunroof is the finishing touch, and bar some wear on the leather, the rest of the cabin seems beautifully cared for. Having been tastefully modified and cared for by a Porsche dealer, it seems like a great buy. The modifications even included work to the intercoolers to allow for more suspension travel, so you know the details have been looked at. So what does all this awesomeness cost? The current bid is $26,000 with the auction closing in five days, so get cracking if you're interested.
