Pamela Anderson is Going Racing

Motorsport /50 Comments

Oh Pamela, to us you'll always be C.J. Parker.

Pamela Anderson has long been known for her modeling, acting (of a sort) career, and the occasional home movie. So it would seem strange at first that she would become interested in being a race car team founder, principal and owner. However, it turns out that she is doing just that. It has recently been announced that she founded a new racing team, called Downforce1, in the winter of 2011. All told, the team has "10 years racing experience" amongst its crew which includes David Prewitt as team manager.

Markus Fux will be acting as team coordinator, chief marketing officer, and driver. The new team plans to compete with an Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT2 in the European Le Mans series and the International GT Open. Sponsors include People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and talent agency ICM, which also manages Anderson. The Vantage will be painted white and blue, in case you're looking to spot it amongst the other cars. Interestingly, Anderson's involvement in racing doesn't stop there. According to the official press release, Downforce1 is also looking to build a NASCAR team for 2013.
