一个300马力的3.5升V6和新设计局域网guage will help next-gen Maxima remain America's best-selling non-luxury V6 sedan.

As Nissan continues to fine-tune its new design language, the Sport Sedan Concept is the latest to adopt some of the carmaker's future styling elements while also previews "a future production sports sedan" that is almost certainly the next Maxima. Designed in California and honed in Japan, the unimaginatively named Sport Sedan Concept wears a "V-Motion" front fascia with a chrome grille flanked by distinctive boomerang-shaped LED headlights.

It also wears a Strad Amber body color and 21-inch alloys. In every dimension but height, the concept apes the Maxmia, with a floating roof design, tapered greenhouse and high waistline affording it a coupe-like profile. The two-tone cabin features quilted leather seats, metallic trim and a sports steering wheel. A floating center stack and infotainment system are fitting additions to the luxurious driving space. Under the hood, Nissan's 3.5-liter V6 has been tuned to deliver 300 hp, which, as per the current Maxima, is sent to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission.
