New Brabus Mercedes-AMG EQS Improves Style, Performance, And Electric Range

LegendaryMercedes tuner Brabushas revealed a new Masterpiece styling and interior package for theMercedes-AMG EQS, Stuttgart's most potent electric sedan.

The new body kit lends the full-sized sedan serious presence and adds some much-needed shape to the EQS's bulbous profile. But it's not just about looks; the enhancements improve the aerodynamic abilities of the Mercedes. The kit comprises an aggressive-looking front lip that reduces drag and front-axle lift. This has been achieved by the raised flaps situated on either side of the bumper. Brabus claims these improve airflow to the front brakes and coolers.

Elsewhere, you'll find carbon fiber air deflectors positioned in front of the rear wheels, which promotes stronger airflow past the wheel wells. Around back, the athletic-looking diffuser and spoiler look good and reduce rear-axle aerodynamic lift by as much as 40%.

Brabus has also removed all chrome trim, painting the exterior embellishments in a more subtle shade of black.

The Masterpiece package includes gorgeous Monoblock Z Platinum Edition alloy wheels; the 22-inch, ten-spoke wheels seen here have been painted in gloss black, which works well with the matte grey bodywork. These tasty-looking items are wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires, sized 255/35 AR 22 and 295/30 ZR 22 at the front and rear, respectively.

The Mercedes-AMG EQS isn't the prettiest vehicle from Stuttgart, but, we're sure you can agree, Brabus has made some tremendous improvements. What's more, the aerodynamic kit has improved the driving range. The Bottrop-based tuner claims the 0.23 Cd figure has improved by 7.2%. This has an excellent effect on the all-important range; Brabus says that at speeds between 62 and 87 mph, the range increases by an average of 7%.

Brabus has previously introduced anaero kit for the standard EQS Sedanand also claimed at the time that it improves range and performance.
