Monster Ram TRX With Twin-Turbos AND A Supercharger Surprisingly Fails To Find A Buyer

Tuning /7 Comments

With around 1,000 hp and a laundry list of upgrades, we expected this to sell for a hefty sum.

TheRam 1500 TRXis already a mind-blowing 702-horsepower Hellcat-powered engineering marvel, but what happens if a builder decides to crank it up to eleven? The result is this 2022 Ram 1500 TRX with a superchargeranda twin-turbo setup, and one example recently went up for auction onBring A Trailer. Unfortunately, nobody bid enough to take this one home.

With 2,000 miles on the clock, many tastefully executed mods, and plenty of mechanical improvements, the final bid of $91,200 fell short of the undisclosed reserve price. The standard 2022 TRX had a starting MSRP of $78,890 and this example appears to be equipped with the TRX Level 2 Equipment Group ($10,295). Factor in the twin-turbo kit's $9,499 price, and we're not surprised the seller was looking for at least $100k. And that's conservative, considering the TRX in question appears to have had everything but the kitchen sink thrown at it.

年代o, what's so special about this TRX? For more oomph, thestock superchargerfor the 6.2-liter V8 engine is paired with a Ripatuned TTRX twin-turbo system. A custom ECU tune from HPJ Tuning then manages this.

Unfortunately, no output figures were provided for this bonkers TRX as the seller couldn't find an all-wheel drive dyno to accommodate the truck's girth. Ripatuned claims the kit is capable of 800-1,500 whp depending on tune, and the seller says this one is claimed at 1,000 hp at the crank, estimating closer to 800 at the wheels. "Trust me, it's fast," they claim.

Beyond the engine mods, it gets a smartphone-controlled Carli Suspension leveling kit, Timber Grove rear air springs, Wilwood front disc brakes, and forged 22-inch Axe forged wheels wrapped in 37-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires.

Other exterior improvements to pump up the beastly look include a custom Fab Fours front bumper with integrated LED lights, a carbon fiber grille from Anderson Composites, fender extensions, modified LED headlamps, and a clear paint protection film.

Over and above the aftermarket accouterments, the truck features the aforementioned TRX Level 2 Equipment Group, which equips heated and ventilated seats front and rear, additional lighting, blind-spot monitoring, the 19-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Sound system, a head-up display, wireless device charging and more.

It's not surprising the seller wasn't willing to part with it for $91k.

It's also worthwhile remembering that we're fast approaching the end of the Ram 1500 TRX, with aFinal Edition serving as a last hurrahfor this beastly truck. If you're a fan of the short-run TRX nameplate, the unsold unit on BaT and the rest on sale right now are the perfect way to get a taste of the truck before it fades into the ether.
