Mansory Has Finally Produced An Attractive Bentley Continental GT

Luxury /7 Comments

It's not perfect, but you wouldn't call it tacky.

在这个世界上of high-end vehicle tuning, Mansory isknown for its ostentatious designs. But recently, the German firm unveiled anunexpectedly subtleS-Class Mercedes and is continuing its more relaxed approach to tuning with thisBentley Continental GT.

An understated body kit provides the British grand tourer with some added aggression. We can see a more pronounced front apron that provides a sportier stance, but we can't say we're fans of the French handlebar mustache-style add-ons seen beneath the headlights.

The side skirts are equally low-key and work well with the black trimmings on the lower rear bumper, which benefits from a more prominent diffuser. Finally, a carbon fiber spoiler has been tacked onto the rear deck lid, while side mirror caps fashioned from the same lightweight material have been fitted to the Bentley too.

The overall effect is relatively inconspicuous and shouldn't draw more attention than Bentley's ownprevious-gen Continental Supersports.

What will grab attention are the FD.15 wheels. These large-diameter wheels are fully forged and use a "disc" design to convey an upmarket, sophisticated image. We've seen similar designs from Rolls-Royce and Maybach, while tuners such as Spoefc have also employed a similarstrategy on high-end luxury vehiclesthey have tuned. We wish Mansory didn't feel the need to carve out the word "forged" on the wheel.

Barring the odd mustache up front, Mansory's latest take on the Continental GT is attractive, particularly in this tasteful Jetstream II paint finish. It's unclear whether the tuner has fiddled with the plush innards, but it appears as if everything has remained stock - and that's a good thing. The Continental GT currently has one ofthe best interiors in the business.

Mansory says the FD.15s can be fitted to several luxury vehicles, including the new Mercedes-AMG SL, Lamborghini Urus, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Range Rover, Audi RS6, and more.

There's no mention of performance upgrades here, but even in base V8 guise, the Continental GT is potent enough. The 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine produces 542 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque, sufficient to propel this mobile manor house to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 198 mph.

We hope the tuning firm continues to showcase more subtle builds as they come as a breath of fresh air. Previously, Mansory hasshocked us with the Vitesse, a two-tone Continental GT convertible finished in a flamboyant black and yellow color scheme. The alarming color choice extends to the cabin, where half the interior is trimmed in black and the other in a vile yellow. Mercifully, just one example will be produced.
