Life-Size Toyota GR Supra Made From Lego Is Actually Drivable

It even shares the same door handles, wheels, and emblems as the real-life GR Supra. Lego based the replica on theToyota GR Supra 35th Anniversary Edition, which is sold exclusively in Japan. Limited to just 70 examples, the limited-edition GR Supra is available in five colors.

Lego's full-size replica model is based on the Lightning Yellow version we've seen in press images. Tipping the scales at 4,155 pounds, the Lego replica is even heavier than the real thing, but surprisingly, not by all that much. What makes this replica model even more impressive is that you can actually drive it.

Like Lego's full-size Bugatti Chiron and Lamborghini Sian, the Supra is actually driveable thanks to an electric motor that powers the wheels. This enables the the Lego car to hit a top speed of 17 mph - impressive for a car made out of Lego bricks. In real life, the Toyota GR Supra has a top speed of 155 mph.

If you want to own your own Lego GR Supra, the full-size scale model sadly isn't for sale. Alternatively, you can buy aLego Speed Champions versionof the Toyota GR Supra to display on your shelf. Since it only includes 299 pieces, it's nowhere near as accurate as the full-scale version, but it will only cost you $19.99. Lego's full-scale Toyota GR Supra will be displayed at Legoland Japan between August 12th and October 11th.
