Introducing the Continental GT Equestrian Edition.

Few hobbies display as much wealth as equestrian riding. An entire sub-section of Olympic sports is based around horses so it only makes sense for a special edition luxury car to adopt this theme. Introducing Bentley MullinerContinental GT ConvertibleEquestrian Edition, the company's latest special edition model. The UK automaker has released a slew of limited edition models lately, including the highly-rarifiedMulliner Bacalar two-seater, which is capped to just 12 units.

The Equestrian Edition will actually be even more exclusive, limited to just one example seen here in these pictures. Bentley says the car was inspired by the Cheltenham Festival, the greatest racecourse in the world and host to the most exciting event on the horse racing calendar. To celebrate the car's inspiration, it was photographed at Jackdaws Castle, an equestrian training facility located just 10 miles from the Cheltenham Racecourse.

To create the Equestrian Edition, Mulliner began by stitching horse and rider silhouettes into all four seats, which are finished in Saddle brown leather. The brown leather is then paired with a Cumbrian Green secondary hide to match the exterior of the car. The horse and rider emblem also appears on the straight grain Walnut single veneer and boxwood inlays, which are accented with gold detailing. Bentley'sfamous diamond quiltingis applied to the seats along with Tweed fabric and a contrasting light blue stitch.

On the exterior, a special color called Spruce green is paired with the Blackline Specification matched with 22-inch Mulliner Driving Specification wheels in gloss black. Bentley hasn't mentioned which engine powers the Equestrian Edition but we assume a special model like this would use the company's flagship 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 producing 626 horsepower going out to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Since only one example was built, Bentley hasn't provided pricing on the Equestrian Edition but assume it was a hefty premium over the W12 car's $236,100 base price.
