Lamborghini Murcielago V12 Engine Is An Incredible Bargain

Just because one may not be able to afford a Lamborghini does not necessarily mean you can't own its heart and soul. And by heart and soul, we mean a Lamborghini engine. Could you transplant that engine into another car that's not a Lamborghini? Of course. The options are unlimited. But how much does a Lamborghini engine cost? Prices vary but this one appears to be an incredible bargain that does not come up often. Up for sale on eBay right now is this naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V12 that was originally in a 2005 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster.

The engine is complete and comes with the wiring harness, inlet manifold, and electronic throttle bodies. The price? A mere $31,000. Do note that the listing is in Australian currency for $45,000.

We don't have many details about the donor Murcielago Roadster, only that it was involved in a front end collision. The end result must have been severe enough for the supercar to be declared totaled. The engine in question produces a total of 572 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, enabling the Lambo to blast from 0 to 60 mph in only 3.8 seconds. The listing also states the engine has a total of just under 4,400 miles on it, which really isn't bad considering its age.

Most importantly, this V12 shows no sign of damage as a result of the crash. It's really an incredible find and a historic one at that.
