The LM1 looks very impressive.

Lafitte Automobili's first hybrid hypercar, the LM1, will go up for auction on November 15th at the One Night For One Drop Philanthropic event in Las Vegas. The event, which aims to raise money for sustainable access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene in communities, is additionally auctioning off a Formula 1 Silverstone Experience with a Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, among other interesting items.

Lafitte Automobili is new to the hypercar scene and has come out swinging. Based in Turin, Italy, it was created by Bruno Laffite and Pascal Cohen. Bruno Lafitte is not only the son of racing legend Jacque Laffite but has dabbled in the past with insaneoff-road supercar builds like the X-Road.

His new company unveiled its first three vehicles at theF1 Miami Grand Prixearlier this year, promising thrilling performance, stunning looks, and serious exclusivity. The LM1 being auctioned is the first example, and it's said to be a Le Mans-style hypercar set to rival vehicles like the Koenigsegg Regera and梅赛德斯amg一.

"We are incredibly honored and proud to partner with such an influential organization as the One Drop Foundation, which is committed to changing the world," says Bruno Laffite and Pascal Cohen, co-founders of Lafitte Automobili. "We are delighted to offer this unique car, the LM1, to help raise as much money as possible to give access to clean water to those in need."

The vehicle was specially designed by Fabrizio and Giorgetto Giugiaro of GTG Style Design and jointly engineered with L.M. Gianette at its Torino plant. Only 24 are set to be produced, and the performance specs are unsurprisingly impressive.

Powered by a 1,000 horsepower V8 hybrid engine and weighing only 1,250kg (2,755 pounds), the company claims the vehicle can hit speeds of 350 kph (217 mph) while running on e-fuel. It also boasts a carbon fiber chassis and body, an F1-style steering wheel, an adjustable hydraulic suspension, and active aero.

The details are scarce, but that's to be expected with a company this new. This particular LM1 will be built in early 2024, so the company must be much further along the design process than we initially thought. The brand's other planned vehicles, the off-road Atrax and open-top Barchetta, will follow in its footsteps.

What we do know is that when it arrives, it's going to have a ton of competition from new brands and old ones alike. The reincarnated French brand Delageunveiled the D12 earlier this year, promising similar power from a hybrid V12 powerplant. Then you have companies like Zenvo promising 1,850 hp from itsnew Aurora hypercar.

With hypercar options are greater than ever, so it's a great time to be filthy rich.
