这是完全值得的。

TheChevrolet Corvettehas to be one of the most desirable American sports cars around, with a history that stretches out over more than half a century. The current C8 might be aperformance powerhouse, but many are still after older, and more collectible models. We've seen somestunning restomodsgoing up for auction, as well as someless desirable creations, but the fact remains: people love classic Corvettes, and a recent purchase by comedic star Kevin Hart proves that point. This 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Convertible recently sold at Barrett-Jackson's 2021 Scottsdale Auction for a record price, and when you look at the spec sheet, you'll understand why.

The exterior of this stunning machine features exclusive EVOD wheels with knock-off center nuts and smooth-shaved whitewall Nitto tires, an electrically activated three-position automatic hood, and LED lighting. The body is all-original and was stripped and glass-beaded after which it was sprayed in this beautiful PPG Franny Green and Global High Solids clear.

The convertible top also saw some attention and was completely restored in Chocolate Brown Stayfast material. Even the underside of the body was fully restored with a black ceramic coating. The chrome work on this car is also something else; it looks like it has just rolled off the factory floor.

Under the skin, this old-school Corvette has seen some extensive modifications that have turned it into a proper modern performance machine. Under the hood, you'll now find a 2020 Corvette LT1 direct-injected 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 460 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. This monster of an engine sends its power to the rear wheels via a 4L75E automatic transmission. Keeping the car planted is Art Morrison C7 independent front suspension, with fully adjustable ride height and Strange coil-overs. Bringing things to a stop is a set of Wilwood brakes with C7 6-piston front calipers, 14-inch rotors, and stainless-steel brake lines. The car also features power steering, a Rick's Stainless gas tank, a GM wiring harness, and the factory-programmed computer.

The cream leather interior has been meticulously tailored, and the interior features Dakota Digital gauges and a retro-look stereo with a JL sound system and Bluetooth. Mr. Hart bought this beauty for a whopping $825,000.
