这是下一个斯巴鲁WRX吗?

The next-generation Subaru WRX has been spotted testing in prototype form on Mulholland Drive in Southern California.

Last March at the New York Auto Show, Subaru unveiled itsWRX Conceptto previews the next-generation all-wheel-drive fun machine. Unlike past WRX models, the new one will be a stand-alone model - it won't be based on the current Impreza. That's a good thing because we love the concept's aggressive and muscular shape. And now a new spy video is making the rounds online showing a WRX test mule out on Mulholland Drive in California. Thing is, this prototype looks an awful lot like the standard Impreza, only with an added large hood scoop.

So does this mean that Subaru is toning down the production WRX's styling? We certainly hope not because the thought of a turbocharged version of the BRZ's 2.0-liter four under the hood of a car as good-looking as that concept is something we very much want to see.
