Is This The Last Hurrah For The Aston Martin DB9?

Believe it or not, the Aston Martin DB9 has been in service since 2004. It's had a few updates since then but, overall, it's a dated model, and Aston Martin is fully aware of that. And perhaps the end is near because the UK sports car builder has just revealed its new DB9 GT, which is described as the most compelling and potent production 'DB' to date. Could it be the final DB9 before production ultimately ceases? It wouldn't surprise us because AM has upgraded the 6.0-liter V12 with an extra 30 horsepower for a final output of 540 ponies.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed Touchtronic II gearbox. 0-60 mph happens in 4.4 seconds and top speed is rated at 183 mph. The exterior features a black front and rear diffuser, 10-spoke, 20-inch wheels, and black anodized brake calipers. There's even a GT engraving on the aluminum fuel filler cap. The interior also comes with a number of upgrades, such as an Alcantara-wrapped, One-77-inspired steering wheel. The Aston Martin DB9 GT will make its official debut this weekend at Goodwood and is already available to order with a starting price of $199,950. AM also announced that its V8 Vantage and Rapide S have also updated for 2016 with new colors and infotainment system.
