The sexy sedan could arrive in 2025.

年代ay hello to the Infiniti Vision Qe, a concept that previews the first electric vehicle from Nissan's luxury division. Though it hasn't been officially stated, the Vision Qe will likely spawn a replacement for theInfiniti Q50, which has been on the market since 2013. Sadly, this is still a concept, so Infiniti hasn't released any important details regarding the powertrain, range, or pricing. We do know theproduction version will be built in the United Statesalongside a Nissan sibling, likely the next-generation Maxima.

This concept previews Infiniti's upcoming design language for the electric era, which the company calls "Artistry in Motion." The body shape is inspired by "Sho," a Japanese expression Infiniti says evokes grace and power. It also encapsulates "Sui," representing fluid, formless things. Infiniti refers to the Vision Qe as a fastback, meaning it could have a hatch rather than a conventional trunk.

It may look black in these images, but the concept is finished in Shadow Blue paint. This hue is composed of a deep blue base coat with gold highlights; Infiniti recentlyrevealed a new logo and brand identitycentered around these two colors. As part of this rebrand, the grille has been reimagined for an EV with an LED outline. A "digital piano key" runs across the front and rear ends and can illuminate in a special gold color. We'll wait to see if that detail meets US regulations and makes it to production. An animated lighting sequence plays when the owner returns to the car, welcoming them back to the vehicle.

"As we began to follow the inspiration around Artistry in Motion, we rediscovered the Japanese expression of 'Sho,' an expression of soaring with grace and power. Our designers began creating forms that, to me, looked like abstractions of a bird in flight - powerful, almost motionless, but generating such speed," said Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president for Global Design. "The sleek, low profile paired with tapered, yet muscular, rear fenders expresses effortless motion and powerful purpose."

That all sounds great, but this concept is unlikely to reach production without some major changes. Production in Mississippi is set to begin in 2025, so the production Vision Qe could arrive as a 2026 model. Infiniti also shared new details about an upcoming electric SUV called the Vision QXe, a QX80 replacement, and anew SUV called the QX65.
