Hyundai Home Is The Cleanest Way To Run Your Home And Charge Your Car

Technology /2 Comments

The world desperately needs more of this.

We are getting deeper and deeper into the electric age, as cars become hybridized or all-electric in an effort to save the planet, but electric cars are not the only way to achieve this. In fact, the mining of cobalt and other materials required for theseEV batteriescan be detrimental to the environment and the way that electricity is often produced can be just as bad. Nevertheless, electric cars have become the go-to for automakers looking to reduce their carbon footprint. EVs aren't going anywhere, so how can we make producing energy for them a little cleaner? Well, Hyundai has a plan called Hyundai Home, and it's centered aroundsolar power.

Hyundai Home is being touted as an "integrated clean energy ecosystem" that offers customers access to solar power for EV charging at home through the availability of "top-rated home chargers, solar panels, and energy storage systems through a one-stop marketplace platform." To make using the platform easier, Hyundai will be offering a personalized purchase process with a dedicated concierge.

"With Hyundai Home, Hyundai is delivering a seamless EV ownership experience that empowers consumers to adopt eco-friendly technologies in the manner that best fits their lifestyles," says Olabisi Boyle of Hyundai North America.

The idea is to make adopting clean energy solutions as easy and as transparent as possible for consumers, a vital requirement in a world obsessed with convenience.

Rather than expecting customers to wade through a sea of alternative energy options, Hyundai will select "the best products from the best partners" and provide a concierge that can help the customer choose the best option for their personal energy needs. Hyundai Home will also offer "one of the best warranties in the industry" so that you're never without power.

As you'd expect, the system is meant towork with any EV or plug-in hybrid, meaning that you don't need to own anIoniq 5in order to take advantage of this initiative. Ideas like this will help make the world cleaner, preserving it for future generations, and that's something that we can all get behind. Hyundai Home will launch in "select markets" in 2022.
