The star car was once owned by Giancarlo Esposito who played Gus Fring.

There's an old saying byBreaking Bad'sWalter White, "If you don't know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly." He says this as he makeshis drug runs in the Pontiac Aztekin one of the best-loved TV shows of all time.

But there was another drug lord on the show, one whose public persona displayed him as a mild-mannered restaurant entrepreneur and not the man of evil that he really is. That is Gustavo 'Gus' Fring. His evil drug dealer car of choice? A lowly 1998 Volvo V70 wagon. And you can bid on this star car once owned by actor Giancarlo Esposito who played Fring on the show.

Over the years, Mecum Auctions has covered some truly remarkable cars. Its reputation usually covershypercars of a high dollaror the occasionalDodge Challenger Demon with super-low miles. But they cover entertainment memorabilia and cars too, so this dark blue Volvo really fits the bill.

That paint job is matched to a tan leather interior. Other notable features include power steering with disc brakes, power windows and locks, a power seat, a CD stereo, and New Mexico-friendly tinted glass. All these features are photographed on a sandy backdrop to highlight the car's roots in the desert television show.

Volvos of the era ran 2.3-liter 5-cylinder engines. This particular one is equipped with an automatic transmission. It appeared on multiple seasons ofBreaking Badas well as the show's pre-telling spinoff inBetter Call Saul. The program is ending soon, hence the blue wagon's potential popularity at auction.

Would Fring still drive a Volvo ifBetter Call Saulwas set in 2022? Maybe so. A沃尔沃V90交叉清纯甜美trywould be tooled well for the great desert outdoors. It would surely be less conspicuous than, say, a motorhome converted to a meth lab, or that Pontiac Aztek.

Mecum claims that after production wrapped onBreaking Bad, this V70 was gifted to show star Esposito. It's not clear how many miles are on the odometer but going off of the auction photos, it appears to be well kept.

If you're a hardcore fan of Fring's Volvo V70 and want a piece of show history, prepare your wallets. The Mecum bidding war is set to start at the July 27-30 auction event.
