Ford Reassures Nervous Bronco Customers About Roof Issues

Industry News /4 Comments

The damage control continues.

It hasn't exactly been a flawless first year for the rebornFord Bronco. Production issues have been widespread across the industry this year, and theBronco was affected too. Once customers finally took delivery, there were more problems. It was discovered that the molded-in color hardtop of certain Broncos had a troubling quality issue that gave these hardtops an undesirable appearance.Jeep was only too happy to troll Ford因为the Bronco's early stumble, and Ford is replacing every roof at no charge to the customer. Ford has now provided an update regarding Bronco roofs via the official Ford Bronco Instagram account.

This account posted a story on Instagram saying that "all Ford Bronco SUVs at our plant have new hardtop roofs and will be shipping before the end of the year." Obviously, Ford wants new Bronco customers who have yet to take delivery to be assured that their roofs won't suffer from the same quality issue as earlier models. The problem affected both two- and four-door Bronco models. Customers with earlier Broncos should work with their dealerships to get their hardtops replaced.

Ford went a step further on Instagram and noted that many customers have questions relating to their Bronco orders. The company encouraged customers to send any queries via Instagram so they can be answered.

Clearly, this is an exercise in damage control, and Ford is doing whatever it can to be as transparent as it can be with many Bronco customers who are likely frustrated with the quality issues. All that being said, we don't expect any of this to put a dent in demand for the popular SUV. Along with theMustang Mach-E, Bronco Sport, andMaverick, the Bronco has the fastest turn rates for the Blue Oval at under 12 days. Last month, 8,287 Broncos were sold and this will only increase as Ford improves inventory levels. Together with the Bronco Sport, the Bronco family had its best month yet with nearly 20,000 units sold. Hopefully, the Bronco's teething issues are now out of the way.
