Due to unprecedented demand and countless supply chain shortages, Ford was forced tostop orders for the 2022 model year Mustang Mach-E. The Blue Ovalpromised that order books would open soonfor the2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E, and now the time has finally come for that promise to be delivered. Mach-E ordering has in fact re-opened with new pricing and updated features.

For starters, the Mach-E Premium with the Extended Range battery now has an EPA-estimated 290-mile range, an increase of 13 miles from last year's model. No other range changes are mentioned across the lineup.

Ford Co-Pilot360 Driver Assist Technology now comes standard on every trim level, and BlueCruise hands-free driving is available on certain models. In fact, Ford will give a complimentary 90-day trial for BlueCruise and a 360-degree camera so customers can experience these features before paying for a longer duration.

一个s for trim changes, the California Route 1 trim is no longer available in a rear-wheel-drive configuration, as customer demand leaned heavily towards the all-wheel-drive option. Both the GT and GT Performance Edition models now get a full glass roof, which replaced the black painted roof. This will let more light into the cabin, but it also raises the center of gravity.

In addition to the feature changes, Ford will offer a few cosmetic tweaks. Two new colors, Carbonized Gray Metallic and Vapor Blue Metallic replace Dark Matter Gray Metallic and Iced Blue Silver Metallic. Premium Extended Range and GT Performance Edition trims can now opt for an $800Nite Pony Appearance Packagethat can be combined with any of the eight available colors.

On the Premium, the package adds high-gloss black 19-inch wheels, black front and rear lower fascias, door cladding, and black mirror caps. For the GT Performance Edition, the wheels are 20-inches and the GT badged is blacked out.

Much like the2023 F-150 Lightning pricing, costs have gone up across the board for the 2023 Mach-E. The Select RWD Standard Range model now starts at $ 46,895 (up from $43,895). Adding AWD brings the price to $49,595. Stepping up to the Premium RWD Standard Range costs $54,975 ($57,675 with AWD), while the new AWD-only California Route 1 starts at $63,575. At the top of the lineup, the GT starts at $69,895 (up from $61,995) with the GT Performance Package adding $6,000.

These price increases are not ideal, but at least the Mach-E is one of only a few EVs that will stillqualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit. Customers who have an existing, unscheduled order for a 2022 model year will get a private offer to convert it to a 2023 model at the old price.
