Chevy Boosting Price of Suburban and Tahoe Because It Can

Thinking of buying anew Chevrolet Suburbanor Tahoe? Both are solid choices if you're looking for a big SUV, but you're going to end up paying more for each one than last year's models. Pricing for the newly redesigned pair has been released, and there's a $1,000 to $3,000 price jump for just the base models alone. The base 2015 Tahoe costs $45,595, and the Suburban comes in at $48,295.

Compared to the 2014 models, that's a $1,000 increase for both base models, but once you start adding up the options, that figure will jump even higher. A four-wheel-drive Tahoe LT has a $2,510 increase and the top trim 4WD LTZ costs $2,640 more than last year. The top level Suburban LTZ costs $65,595 before options, a $3,300 price jump over its 2014 counterpart. Both models are more refined and functional than before and come with new engines as well, but those are still serious price hikes.
