Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Transformed Into 1,000-HP Hyper-Muscle Car

We'll give you one guess which Texas tuner is responsible...

Right off the showroom, theCT5-V Blackwingis nothing to scoff at. It's rated at 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque, which supports its claim as themost potent vehicleCadillac has ever made. But if those numbers aren't enough (they never will be), Hennessey has employed its hands on the muscle sedan to take it up a notch.

Called the H1000 package, the Texas-based tuner rebuilt GM's 6.2-liter small-block LT4 V8 engine, paired it with a bigger supercharger, and updated its calibration. The resulting output is a dyno-proven 1,000 horsepower and 966 lb-ft of torque. These numbers match the ExoMod's 1968 Dodge Chargerwith a Hennessey-tuned enginewe've seen before.

亨尼西claims the upgraded CT5-V Blackwing can make the 0-60 mph sprint in 2.5 seconds and continue beyond 200 mph.

The H1000 upgrade package includes a high-flow supercharger and air induction system to achieve this output. There's also the addition of a custom HPE camshaft, ported cylinder heads, and an upgraded auxiliary fuel system.

亨尼西has reinforced the Blackwing's engine with upgraded valve springs, retainers, intake valves, exhaust valves, lifters, and pushrods to handle the increased power. For temperature management, the company incorporated a huge heat exchanger upgrade.

The tuning company hasn't overlooked the exhaust system either. Long-tube stainless steel headers and high-flow catalytic converters unleash a symphony of raw power while still adhering to emissions regulations.

Likeany Hennessey-tuned machine, each CT5-V Blackwing with H1000 package receives a serial-numbered engine bay plaque and distinctive Hennessey and 'H1000' exterior badging.

亨尼西also offers a two-year/24,000-mile limited warranty on their modifications to provide customers with peace of mind.

"Cadillac's CT5-V Blackwing, fitted with GM's supercharged LT4, was a natural candidate for ourExorcist upgradeas it improves power considerably without affecting drivability," said the company founder and CEO John Hennessey. "Resurrected as an 'H1000', the four-door Cadillac is the fastest combustion-only luxury sedan on the planet. It is a rare high-water mark in a segment that will vanish by the decade's end."

亨尼西didn't disclose the pricing for the H1000 package for the CT5-V Blackwing but disclosed that the standard V6-equippedCT5-Vis not eligible for the upgrade. The production will begin in August 2023.
