BMW Reveals More M Performance Parts For New M3

Video /17 Comments

This time, with an oddly-themed video.

The styling of BMW's newM3andM4is still a big bone of contention among those who care enough to talk about it. Heck, it's so talked about that an aftermarket tuner has already started developing anew facefor the cars, sans buck-tooth grilles. But for some, shying away from BMW's quirky design is not an option. Instead, embracing the obscure and contentious is the way forward, and the best way to do that is to slap on someM Performance parts.

Although BMW has already shown us a couple of videos detailing and promoting these upgrades, not everyone is a fan. Perhaps BMW thinks that more content is necessary, and showing us the new M Performance-equipped M3 again is one way of helping us get used to it.

Whatever the reason for the new video, there's no denying that it's a bit weird, much like the M3's styling. Nevertheless, we have to admit that we will never pass up an opportunity to watch a BMW getting driven in anger. The featured car is one wearing the most aggressive options available, from a swan-neck rear wing to a two-tone paint finish that blacks out the entirety of the rear end along with most of the M3's mouth, which bears subtle canards. There's also a focus on the unusual M Performance exhaust exits, along with the aggressive side skirt extensions.

Inside, we get glimpses at the new steering wheel, carbon fiber trim elements, door sill accents, and those stunning bucket seats. No matter what you think about the overall effect, there's no denying that this enhanced M3 has truly bold looks, and while many have criticized what BMW has done, we have to applaud the German marque for creating a look unlike any other. That said, we think the regular M3 is a better fit for those who prefer something classy, but fortunately, you don't have to opt for every add-on and can select the individual parts you like.
