That's enough to make you forget about the grille.

The BMWM3andM4models boast more power than the average driver can handle, but adequate power isn't enough for some people. What can you do if you don't want to wait for theCS models to arrive?

That's where tuners like G Power come in. It recently unveiled a three-stage tuning kit for the Competition models. G Power isn't some new kid on the block. It has an impressive resume, including an800-hp BMW M8and a 615hp version of theprevious generation BMW M4 GTS.

The first stage is a basic software tweak. It pushes the power output from 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque to 600 hp and 530 lb-ft of torque.

The second stage comes with one mechanical addition. G Power installs a custom-made exhaust system and a different software upgrade. The power bump is less significant, however. These changes boost the power output to 650 hp and 574 lb-ft of torque.

Stage three is not recommended if you live within a mile ofa Karen. It adds downpipes, increasing the power up to 700 hp and 618 lb-ft of torque.

G Power also has a few cosmetic options, including 21-inch forged wheels, as well as various carbon fiber replacement parts, including the hood and rear wing.

The standard top speed of the M3/M4 Competition is 180 mph if you add the Driver's Package. This is actually nothing more than a day of driver training and a piece of code that tells the car it is okay to go all the way to 180 mph.

G Power gets around this by removing the limiter, which allows the car to reach 205 mph. That's quite something for a compact four-door sedan with a large trunk.

If you're in the market for something more sensible,AC Schnitzer offers a 580-hp upgrade. If you're absolutely bonkers, you might be interested in a previous generation M3 and the enhancements provided by German tuning house, Infinitas. It can take any car equipped with theS55 engine up to 1,000 hp.
