BMW i7 Will Be Available In These Derivatives

Spy shots have confirmed BMW is preparing to unleash an全电动版本的next-generation 7 Seriesthat will be the Bavarian automaker's answer to the electric Mercedes EQS. Rumors have suggested the electricBMW 7 Serieswill be called the i7, but now Japan's Spyder7 claims to know the model names of the entire next-generation BMW 7 Series and i7 lineup. According to the publication, there will be three variants of the i7 available: the i740i, i750i, and i7 M60.

Slotting at the top of the range, the i7 M60 will be themost powerful BMW 7 Series ever, incorporating two electric motors producing a combined output of 650 horsepower.

That's a huge boost over the current M760i xDrive range-topper, which is powered by a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 producing 600 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. Despite its potent performance, the i7 M60 will allegedly last over 400 miles on a single charge. Technical details of the i740i and i750i haven't been confirmed, but previous reports have claimed one of these less powerful variants will have a lower range of around 300 miles and produce around 536 hp.

As for the combustion-powered model, the outlet claims the new 7 Series will be offered in 735d, 740i, 745e, and M750e flavors, but no technical specifications were revealed.
