Bentley is now offering a carbon fiber body kit for the Flying Spur.

If theBentley Continental GTandBentley Bentaygalook too tame for you, Bentley offers aStyling Specification packagethat adds a slew of sporty exterior components. Now, Bentley is offering a similar Styling Specification for theFlying Spurto complement its performance. Crafted by hand in high gloss carbon fiber, the Styling Specification adds a body kit that includes a new front bumper splitter, side skirts with metallic Bentley badges, a rear diffuser and trunk lid spoiler.

According to Bentley, the carbon fiber components are mirror-matched across the centerline of the car and is laid-up in multiple layers.

The side skirts also include a three-dimensional electroformed Bentley badge developed specifically for the Styling Specification.

Before being put into production, Bentley's Styling Specification components go through a rigorous design and testing process. Initially, the designs are assessed using special software to test the aerodynamic performance including front and rear lift and overall drag. Simulations also show how the components affect powertrain cooling, brake cooling and noise, vibration, and harshness, while additional electrical testing also minimizes any effect the carbon fiber could have on systems such as park distance control, radar systems, and antennae for onboard communications and entertainment.

Once approved, the physical prototypes are manufactured and tested in a wind tunnel and on the track. To see how they cope in different scenarios, all parts are tested in a variety of driving conditions including how the top speed, stability, feel, and performance is affected under acceleration and braking. The components are then subjected to 62,000 miles of abuse testing such as wading, curb strikes, and rough roads.

Bentley hasn't announced pricing details for the Styling Specification, but the package can be ordered at Bentley retailers and can be ordered with a new car or retrofitted to an existing car. Under the hood, the 6.0-liter twin-turbo engine has been left stock, so it still produces 626 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque.
