Audi A7 Becomes The Ultimate BBQ Trailer

Car Culture /2 Comments

Well, half of it does.

This is probably the last thing you'd ever expect to see from (what's left) of anAudi A7. It's also a pretty cool idea. Although we don't know what happened to the front half of this first-generation A7, the back half still exists, though in a way Audi never imagined. What you're looking are photos of what could be the first-ever Audi A7 BBQ grill trailer. In all likelihood, this particular A7 was involved in a serious crash that rendered it totaled.

The front end, engine, and all four doors have been removed. Only a part of the platform remains and thanks to some clever handiwork, it's been turned into a trailer. Where the rear seats once were, now sits a pair of grills. Whoever fabricated this made sure to keep a few essentials in place that could easily confuse someone driving from behind.

The 'A7' and '3.0T' badges remain, as does the Audi four-ring emblem. Even the rear spoiler has been placed in the deployed position. Downforce is probably no longer necessary but it still looks pretty cool. Although they're also no longer necessary, the exhaust pipes also remain. Another clever addition is the spare tire located at the trailer's front, while the license plate is pure genius: BBQD A7.

First launched back in 2010, the Audi A7 continues to be the sexier alternative to the Audi A6. Instead of a traditional three-box design, the A7 is a five-door liftback, or fastback sedan.

The second-generation launched in 2018 and just last September at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, the2020 Audi RS7was unveiled. And yes, the RS7 is the one you want thanks to its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. It'd be a terrible shame to see a new RS7 completely totaled to the point where turning its remains into something else is the only alternative to the junkyard.
