Aston Martin And China Are Working On More Than An Electric Car

With the help of Chinese Giant Letv (the country's Netflix), Aston Martin has beenhard at work creatingan electric vehicleto take onTesla. However, the technology company and the British automaker have also created a unique Aston Martin Rapide S, which was recently revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). While we were expecting an electric vehicle, the Rapide S is fitted with a host of new technology that's aimed at providing users with a more comfortable ride. Call us old fashioned, but we prefer a regular Rapide S.

The Rapide S has been fitted with the Letv Internet of the Vehicle (IOV) system that replaces the automaker's traditional instrument panel and center console with two enormous digital displays. A massive 13.3-inch touchscreen display now sits in the center console of the sedan, while the main instrument cluster is dominated by a 12.2-inch display. In addition to the sedan's standard functions, the IOV system allows users to control linked mobile devices through the car's controls. Through the IOV system's available Wi-Fi, drivers can remotely access the car and can access Letv's own cloud network-LeCloud. Aston Martin didn't mention when its production vehicles would be fitted with the system.
