Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Carbon Editions Will Be Highly Limited

Special Editions /5 Comments

A combined 130 units will be made, and they're all for the North American market.

Alfa Romeo has revealed new special variants of theGiulia Quadrifogliosports sedan and its SUV sibling, theStelvio Quadrifoglio, called the Carbon Edition.

Available on 2024 models, the package is limited to a combined 130 units and is exclusive to the North American market. With a starting price of $84,875 for the sedan and $92,275 for the SUV (both prices excluding a $1,595 destination fee), the Carbon Edition isn't much more expensive than the regular models. But what do you get for the extra outlay?

作为ide from exclusivity, Carbon Edition models receive a carbon fiber V scudetto grille, gold-painted brake calipers, and black exterior badging. The side sills and mirrors are trimmed in carbon fiber and work beautifully with the darkened five-hole staggered wheels. The Stelvio receives 21s, while the Giulia settles for 19s. The latter does receive a sporty exposed carbon fiber roof (as an option).

The Carbon Edition twins also benefit from model-specific front and rear fascias and hood-mounted heat extractors. Customers can choose Alfa Red, Rosso Etna, or Vulcano Black paint finishes.

Step inside the tastefully appointed yet racy cabins, and you'll find an array of standard equipment. A Harmon Kardon premium audio system forms part of the package, and so does the Active Assist Plus Driver Group, which includes lane-keep assist, driver attention alert, active blind spot sensors, highway assist, and more.

Red leather seats have been paired with carbon fiber inlays, creating a classy environment. The crimson-colored hide is unique, as Quadrifoglio models traditionally have black leather upholstery. Unfortunately, Alfa hasn't shared any shots of the cabin. Arecent facelift introduced several updatesto the Stelvio and Giulia, from styling updates to improved technology and features.

作为with the standard Quadrifoglio models, the Carbon Editions are powered by the magnificent Ferrari-derived 2.9-liter V6. The feisty twin-turbo six-pot produces a healthy 505 horsepower, 443 lb-ft of torque, and a melodic exhaust note. Power is channeled to the drive wheels (rear for the Giulia, all in the Stelvio) via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Performance is enthusiastic, to say the least. The Giulia can reach 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 191 mph. Remarkably, the Stelvio is even quicker to 60 (3.6 seconds) but runs out of steam sooner, at 176 mph. Both are dynamite to drive around a snaking mountain pass and deliver supreme thrills and driver satisfaction.

标准的阿尔法自适应悬架certainly helps; the system analyzes the road and quickly adjusts the shock valving to deliver the best possible setup at all times.

"We're excited to offer our North American consumers further customization with the new Alfa Romeo Carbon Edition, which enhances our sporty Italian style with a unique and head-turning appearance on top of an unrivaled driving experience," said the head of Alfa Romeo North America, Larry Dominique. "This limited edition elevates the passion of Alfa Romeo with a beautifully crafted design combined with the unsurpassed performance from our legendary Quadrifoglio models."

If you're interested, expect the special edition models to arrive in Alfa Romeo Studios this quarter. But get a move on, as there are only 130 examples for the entire continent. With the next-generation Giulia and Stelvioprimed to go electric, this may be one of the last chances to get your hands on a special Quadrifoglio model. Last year, the Milanese brand introduced the100 AnniversarioQuadrifoglio models to celebrate Alfa Romeo's centenary, and with yet another special edition, the writing is on the wall.
