A Bunch Of Ford Price Changes Could Be Happening

Pricing /Comments

Now might be the best time to buy the following models.

The Ford F-Series recently celebrated a significant milestone. The40-millionth example rolled off the assembly linein Dearborn, Michigan late last month, reminding consumers and competitors alike that it firmly retains the title of America's best-selling vehicle for 40 years. All the more impressive is that this took place asFord and other automakers continue to strugglewith some parts shortages, mainly semiconductor chips, as a result of the pandemic's fallout. Even so, sales have remained strong, especially for the always immensely popularF-150. And if you're thinking of buying one it might be a good idea to make a move very soon.

TheF-150 Gen 14forum has obtained what appears to be a memo sent to Ford dealers detailing price increases for a majority of the F-150 trim lineup.

If this is true, the price adjustments are due to take effect this coming Tuesday, February 15. CarBuzz reached out to Ford seeking clarification and a spokesperson told us that "All of our current vehicle pricing is on Ford.com." The keyword there is "current." We'll know for certain what's happening in a few days' time. Until then, here's the supposed new pricing info. Again, this is not confirmed at the moment:

• XLT series prices $1,500 MSRP Increase

• Lariat series prices $1,500 MSRP Increase

•金牧场系列价格增加厂商建议零售价1500美元

• Platinum series prices $1,500 MSRP Increase

• Limited series prices $1,500 MSRP Increase

• Raptor series prices $3,300 MSRP Increase

• Tremor series prices $1,500 MSRP Increase

• 19S STX Appearance Package price $500 MSRP

As you can see, theF-150 Raptormight have the biggest price jump of $3,300. With the exception of the STX Appearance Package's $500 increase, the rest of the trims will all go up by $1,500. Notably absent from this list is the base XL, which currently begins at $29,990, not including destination. The Super Duty series will supposedly see a $1,000 increase.

We must also point out that the F-Series may not be alone with so-called price adjustments next week. The entire Mustang lineup, including the Mach-E, could also be going up in price with the Shelby GT500 seeing the biggest increase of $1,090. The base GT coupe has an $825 jump marked down. Meanwhile, SUVs like the Escape, Explorer, and Edge are all expected to cost more too. It's important to bear in mind that price increases like this in the middle of the model year are not at all uncommon. Situations change and automakers need to adjust accordingly.
