800马力日产Skyline R34 Is A 4-Door GT-R For The Whole Family

The visuals may be unassuming but that exhaust note certainly isn't.

The R34 Nissan Skyline is known for many things - adesirable Japanese import, a track car with lots of tuning potential, and in GT-R form, Paul Walker'smillion-dollar ridefrom the 2009 filmFast & Furious. However, there's one thing the GT-R, in particular, is not: a family car.

One can argue that you can turn anything into a family car. Still, because the Skyline GT-R R34 is a two-door with a 2+2 seating configuration, its versatility is limited, much like the current generationNissan GT-R.

Thankfully, the guys from theThat Racing Channelknow some people who can show us what we all might be missing.

At first glance, you might think it's just a typical Godzilla (we know, only the R32 is atrueGodzilla), but not until the camera pans to show the set of rear doors.

Drag International (dragINT) - a Florida-based tuning shop known for its tuned Toyota Supras - facilitated the conversion of this Bayside Blue R34 Skyline sedan. It wasn't mentioned exactly what model of R34 this was, but the owner got the car with AWD straight out of the factory. This suggests it might have been a GT-T, which came with four doors and AWD as standard, so he didn't need to do an RWD to AWD conversion.

With the RB25DET NEO 2.5-liter inline-six as its stock engine, the four-door build received a lot of upgrades, including a fully built long block with a 72-75mm turbo. A Tomei titanium exhaust system is also added, allowing this 'Godzilla' to produce an epic exhaust note. With other modifications not mentioned in the video, the build boasts around 800 horsepower - quite healthy for a four-door Skyline.

The 18-inch TE37 wheels may not be extreme for an R34, but they still make an impact and are considered one of themost iconic wheel designsfor JDM cars for a reason.

All in, this build is a classy means of giving a four-door Skyline proper GT-R-level performance, perhaps only beaten in its allure by the common Stagea GT-R conversions we're used to seeing.
