The upcoming Horizon Creatives series update is one to get excited about.

Forza Horizon 5will unleash a massive update this week, with several new cars and a wholly revamped EventLab 2.0 creator mode in the cards. The latest series, Horizon Creatives, will also introduce 20 new wheel designs from Vorsteiner and fresh body kits for specific vehicles.

But before we get into the EventLab and other minor updates, let's look at the most exciting aspect: the new cars.

Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray

We knew theCorvette E-Raywould reachHorizon 5, as the supercar slayeris the cover carof the newForza Motorsportinstallment.

Thanks to an electric motor and a 6.2-liter V8, the E-Ray produces a mighty 655 horsepower. Thanks to the intelligent eAWD system, the electrified 'Vette has plenty of grip and can reach 60 mph in 2.5 seconds with minimal fuss.

However, gamers will have to go the extra mile to receive the E-Ray. It will only be available toHorizon 5players who download and playForza Motorsport. As a reminder, the latestForzatitle will arrive on October 10, but those with early access can play the game (and redeem their E-Ray) from October 5.

BMW i4 eDrive40

The BMW i4 forms part of the forthcoming Festival Playlist. Offered in eDrive40 guise, the all-electric Gran Coupe produces 335 hp, sent exclusively to the rear wheels. Even though it's the entry-level model in the United States (other markets receive an eDrive35 derivative), the eDrive40 can reach 60 mph in less than five seconds.

Strangely, Horizon 5 hasn't chosen to include the more potent M50 performance model. Then again, we're happy to see new cars added to the lineup. If you want to add it to your virtual garage, you'll have to earn 20 points during Week 4 (Oct 5 - Oct 12) of theHorizon CreativesPlaylist.

BMW iX xDrive50

The BMW iX will also be introduced in the new series. While many won't appreciate the divisive looks, the iX brings some modernity to theHorizon 5'soutdated BMW SUV offerings. Players can choose from the 2011 X5 M and the 2015 X6 M.

It should be quite a strong competitor in theSport Utility Heroesclass, where its 516 hp and 564 lb-ft of torque will push it ahead of its rivals. The only other road-going electric SUV is the Jaguar I-Pace. Hopefully, we'll see more introduced in the coming months.

一个gain, we're surprisedForzawent with the xDrive50 derivative, not the more powerful M60 variant. Get the iX into your garage by "earning" 20 points during Week 2 (Sept 21 - Sept 28) of theHorizon Creativesseries.

BMW M2

Penned by Mexican designer Jose Casasand built in Mexico, the 2023 BMW M2 is the perfect car to add toFH5, a game that takes place in beautiful Mexico.

Bigger and heavier than its predecessor, the M2's awkward styling disappointed fans when it arrived. However, the baby M car has proved itself to be worthy ofwearing the hallowed M badge. The straight-six engine uses twin-turbocharging to produce 453 hp. With an available manual transmission, the M2 is one of the few sports cars left that caters to enthusiasts who like to row their own gears.

BMW M3 Competition

Even though the BMW M4 Competition was added last year,FH5players have also been begging for the M3 to be introduced. Rumors suggested the four-door M3 would arrive in CS guise, but it seemsForza'sdevelopers have gone for the more demure Competition model.

Well, we say demure, but it's still a scintillating motorcar. Powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, the M3 produces 503 hp and 479 lb-ft, channeled to the rear wheels via a slick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission.

Fans of the Bavarian marque won't have to wait long to drive the new M3, as it will be one of the first cars offered to players. Receive 20 points during Week 1 (Sept 14 - Sept 21) of theHorizon Creativesplaylist to receive the keys to the super sedan.

BMW 850CSi

For those who prefer their BMWs with classic good looks and a hearty V12 powertrain, the glorious E31 850CSi is back. Last seen inForza Horizon 4, the German grand tourer should be perfect for exploring Mexico's landscape.

With a 374-hp 5.6-liter twelve-cylinder and pop-up headlights, it epitomizes '90s BMW cool. Compared to the regular 850, the CSi derivative boasts uprated brakes and suspension to make it even sportier and dynamic. A manual transmission is also part of the package, making this a GT for the hands-on driver.

Getting this into yourFH5garage will require more work, with 80 points needed during theHorizon Creativesseries. However, you have an entire month to acquire the Bimmer, available from Sept 12 - Oct 12.

What Else Is On The Agenda?

一个side from the vast array of BMWs, the Rivian R1T and R1S will also be added to the game. All you have to do to obtain both is complete two exciting EventLab races. The R1T pickup truck is obtained via theMudslinger's Scramble, while its SUV sibling can be acquired via theStadium SupercrossEventLab.

Speaking of EventLab, the new version introduces a host of improvements. Aside from new tools and props, building the track of your dreams has never been easier, thanks to a streamlined creator process.

More importantly, a new EventLab Island allows creators to come up with the most incredible bespoke environments. The 1.24-mile x 1.24-mile location is a flat concrete platform surrounded by ocean and can be accessed via the in-game map.

WithForza Motorsportjust around the corner, we thought things would slow down on theHorizonfront. But clearly that's not the case.
