Lexus' renowned obsessive commitment to quality is plain to see in this promotional video that reveals the painstaking process of manufacturing the car's steering wheel. A trim called "Shimamoku", the Japanese for "striped wood", is available for the cabin of the 2013 LS, and this wooden veneer is used for the steering wheel. Amazingly, this single item requires the services of three contractor companies, goes through a total of 67 processes and takes 38 days to assemble.
