2024 Kia Telluride Gets Small Price Increase And Minor Exterior Updates

It's costlier than before, but the Telluride still represents excellent value for money.

Kia has released pricing for the 2024Telluride，and while it'smore expensive than before，the increase is marginal: each model is just $100 costlier than the 2023 models.

The automaker has also kept changes to a minimum, with the only revisions being amber daytime running lights. X-Line and X-Pro trim levels benefit from black gloss trim around the headlights, grille, bumpers, and doors. This replaces the dark metallic silver finish previously used on these models.

A total of 14 models are available for 2024. The range starts with the LX, available with front-wheel drive ($35,990) or all-wheel drive ( $37,990). This is followed by the S trim, which is $1,900 pricier than the base LX derivative. Occupying the middle of the range is the EX FWD ($41,590), EX AWD ($43,590), and EX X-Line AWD ($45,885).

Should you require more onboard luxuries, the SX trim is for you. The SX FWD costs $45,790, while the AWD variant is $2,000 more. An SX AWD X-Line ($49,285) and SX AWD X-Pro ($50,285) are also available. Finally, there's the SX-Prestige line. This grade is available exclusively with all-wheel drive, with the regular model costing $50,690.

Upgrading to the SX-Prestige AWD X-Line or X-Pro will set you back $52,185 and $53,185, respectively. With so many models to choose from, there's something to suit most budgets and requirements. Regardless of the selected model, all Tellurides make use of the proven 3.8-liter V6 engine with 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Sadly, there's no word on Kia introducing additional engine choices. The new EV9, however, will cater to those whorequire an electric family SUV.

If you're wondering why the MY2024 updates have been kept to a minimum, Kia gave the Telluridea substantial facelift last year. Aside from three new paint colors - Midnight Lake Blue, Dawning Red, and Jungle Wood Green - Kia has also redesigned the front and rear fascias. New head- and taillights benefit from LED elements, while the grille and bumpers benefit from a new design.

The interior receives a new steering wheel design, new trim elements, redesigned HVAC vents, and curved 12.3-inch screens. These changes, along with the minor MY2024 revisions, should help the Telluride retain its strong sales figures. In May alone, 10,005 examples found their way into American garages.

While no one welcomes a price increase, $100 is minimal, especially compared to some ofthe excessive price hikeswe've seen this year.
