2024 Kia Sportage Gets Small Price Bump And Minor Changes

Following a fullredesign for the 2023 model year, the 2024 Kia Sportage carries over with minimal improvements. All Sportage trims (excluding the Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid) are powered by a 2.5-liter GDI SULEV30 four-cylinder engine producing 187 horsepower. Power goes out to front- or all-wheel-drive through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

For 2024, all trims now come with rear airbags and LED headlights as standard. These additions come with a slight price increase to $27,090 (excluding $1,325 destination) for the base LX trim, up from $26,290 in 2023. Upgrading the LX to AWD brings the price to $28,890. Pricing for the aforementioned 2024Sportage Hybridand Plug-In Hybrid have not been announced yet.

Kia will no longer offer the SX with AWD, meaning customers will have to step up to the SX Prestige if they want four driven wheels.

This new Sportage hashelped Kia reach sales records, driven in part by trims like the X-Line and X-Pro. The sporty X-Line costs $31,890 ($31,090 in 2023), and includes standard AWD. The rugged X-Pro with all-terrain tires tops the lineup at $36,090 or $37,890 for the X-Pro Prestige.
