The final year of the sixth-gen Camaro comes at a price.

Some tears were shed when Chevrolet announced theCamarowould be discontinuedafter the 2024 model year. In preparation for the Camaro's retirement, GM has already made some changes to the lineup. The turbocharged four-cylinder will not be made available, relegating the 3.6-liter V6 to entry-level status.

The LT will ship standard with this engine, pushing the base price up to $32,495 in coupe form and $38,495 in convertible guise. That makes it a substantial $4,700 pricier than the outgoing base model, the 1LS RWD, which uses the 2.0-liter four-pot. It's worth noting the 2024 V6-equipped LT is also $2,605 pricier than its 2023 counterpart.

Chevrolet has not explained why it has dropped the turbocharged model and the LS trim level. However, one can assume the automaker istrying to streamline its offeringsas it prepares to wrap up sixth-gen Camaro production for good.
