2023 Nissan Pathfinder Remains An Affordable Family Hauler

Pricing for the2023 Nissan Pathfinderhas just been announced, and as you'd expect in today's market, there's a reasonably significant increase across the board.

The base Pathfinder S now starts at $35,000 (not including a $1,295 destination and handling fee) or $36,900 with all-wheel drive. That's a $1,590increase over the 2022 Pathfinder, which started at $33,410. Nissan doesn't list any additional safety or convenience features to justify the price bump, so we imagine it's likely related to supply costs, an issue that's plagued many automakers this year.

The Pathfinder still represents decent value compared to the competition, undercutting the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander (though pricing information for those 2023 models is not available yet). As for the Hyundai Palisade, it still beats the Pathfinder with a $34,950 starting MSRP, and we expect the 2023 Kia Telluride to be similarly priced.

Stepping up to the SV trim level brings the price to $37,820 ($39,720 with AWD), while the SL trim costs $41,420 ($43,320 with AWD). Nissan also brought therugged Rock Creek Editionback for the 2023 model year.

We wereunimpressed with the previous-generation Rock Creek, but this新模型得到了极大改善. It adds 18-inch bead-lock-style wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, a 5/8-inch suspension lift, a tubular roof rack, unique exterior trim, and orange accents in the interior.

The Rock Creek is priced above the SV but below the SL at $42,820, including AWD as standard. If we were in the market for a Pathfinder, this is the trim we would opt for, given its rugged styling and affordable price point.
